Рентгена единица, Р — единица дозы излучения, определяющая степень ионизации воздуха (см. Ионизирующие излучения). 1 Р — это количество излучения, вызывающее образование в 1 см3 сухого воздуха при 0°С и давлении 760 мм рт. ст. ок. 2 млрд. (2,083 ‰ 109) пар ионов или 2 пары ионов в 1 μм/м3 вещества, подобного белку (c плотностью около 1,35). Облучение растений и животных измеряют в килорентгенах (кР или Kr). Применяется при дозиметрии рентгеновских и гамма-лучей. Н.П. Дубинин установил, что облучение в дозе 10 Р удваивает частоту мутаций у человека (см. Доза удваивающая). Этот расчет официально признан научным комитетом ООН по действию атомной радиации. 1 г ткани, облученной гамма-лучами в дозе 1 Р, поглощает ок. 93 эрг энергии. В системе СИ 1 Р = 2,57976 ‰ 10-4 кулон/кг.Рентгена физический эквивалент
